If you are interested to know more about our MUN organisation, mission statement and vision for 2024, this is the place to be.
With the beginning of a new year, new secretariat and new OC, we’d like to introduce a new name for SMSISJC’s MUN- MUNSPIRE. The team is ecstatic to honor traditions from our 2015 MUNSPICE along with reinventing the conference into something more grand, more intriguing and more interactive for the participants. Therefore, we present the new slogan : Ideate, Create, Advocate. We hope this ambitious culmination of the Model United Nations and the human drive to inspire can change the scene of diplomacy amongst the young generation.
When the MUN conferences first started 9 years ago, everyone, from the chairs to the secretariat to the delegates, were curious about where this journey of diplomatic debates would lead us. And now we are brimming with pride to witness discussions of the highest quality in our committees, alongside agendas that truly challenge our skills of critical thinking. It’s an awe-inspiring experience to host MUNs that have blossomed into millions of heartfelt memories. Of course, with the fun, we have had delegates winning awards back-to-back, pursuing greater achievements in the career of international law and most importantly personifying an idol the freshers can look up to.
For 2024, our extraordinary team has created 6 unique agendas with committees the participants have not experienced previously. We have The Historical United Nations Security Council (HUNSC), the Indian Premier League and the International Press as first-time committees. Although we have not failed to forget our loved populars like the Disarmament and International Security Committee (DISEC), the United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC) . There really is something for everyone.
Lastly we look forward to meeting all of you, our esteemed executive board and delegates, to live a weekend of fruitful debate.
